Veneers aren’t forever, but when they’re done well and cared for properly, they can last a very long time. A commonly cited number is about 10 years, but it’s not unusual to see veneers that look just as good decades later. Just like any investment, the better you take care of them with brushing, flossing, and smart diet choices, the longer they’ll last.

Yes! When done right, absolutely. You've probably seen the "big white blocks" some people call veneers — that's not what we do here. Ours are custom-designed for your face, your smile, and even your skin tone. The goal is to make them look like your teeth, just better. Done right, most people won't know you have veneers — they'll just think you have a great smile.

Veneers are similar in design and application to a press-on nail, only providing a covering for the front (or "outwardly facing") surface of the tooth. They are adhered to the underlying tooth with a very strong chemically adhesive cement. Conversely, crowns cover the majority or entire tooth surface, similar to a hard hat pulled all the way down on someone's head. They are both made of very strong materials, however crowns are meant to surround and protect the tooth while veneers are meant to improve appearance.

For many people, nothing is required and the veneer process can begin right away. However, some people require gum disease treatments or teeth straightening before veneers to ensure the best result. Dr Turner will discuss this at your personalized consultation visit.
